Our plan
Engage students in harvesting and baking nutritional food, such as veggie pizza from their garden. Also make learning science, history, physics, cooking, nutrition more fun.
What we did
Designed and build a earthen pizza oven. Also spent a year working with the School District and State Architects office to make sure the oven was permitted as a prototype so other schools could copy the oven and curriculum.
Our results
The project was completed five days ago. It has been used during a conference on school nutrition and the students were able to make their own food and bake it in the wood fired oven.
